WEG CWCA & CWMC Contactors

IEC contactors engineered for reliable motor starting up to 800 A.

WEG CW series contactors combine compact footprints with robust AC-3 ratings, modular coil options, and accessory flexibility. Build across-the-line, reversing, and two-speed starters while maintaining coordinated protection with MPW breakers and RW overloads.

Standard Frames (CWCA/CWCC)
9–105 A AC-3, 5–60 HP @ 460 V with interchangeable coils and top/bottom aux contacts.
Power Contactors (CWP/CEP)
150–800 A AC-3 with bolt-on terminals, fan kits, and pre-engineered CEP enclosed starters.

Control Voltages

AC Coils:
24, 48, 110/120, 220/240, 440/480 VAC with wide tolerance for unstable supply conditions.
DC Coils:
12, 24, 48, 60, and 110 VDC with electronic coil suppressors and reduced inrush options.
Universal Coils:
Electronic coils cover 100–250 VAC/DC, perfect for global panels and retrofit kits.

Accessories

  • Side-mount auxiliary contacts (1NO/1NC, 2NO/2NC) and top-mount timer modules.
  • Mechanical and electrical interlocks for reversing or two-speed starters.
  • Surge suppressors, interface relays, and terminal shrouds for UL 508A compliance.
  • Busbar adapters, power distribution blocks, and CEP enclosed starter packages.

Performance Highlights

  • High electrical endurance up to 1.5 million AC-3 operations.
  • Operating temperature -25 °C to +60 °C with optional tropicalized kits.
  • Built-in mechanical indicator, lockable manual override, and easy coil replacement.
  • Finger-safe IP20 terminals and DIN rail or screw mounting out of the box.

Engineered Starter Building Blocks

Coordination Ready

Type 1 and Type 2 coordination charts pair CW contactors with MPW breakers, RW overloads, and fusing up to 65 kA.

Modular Control

Plug-in aux contacts, timing modules, and suppressors snap on without tools to support complex motor sequences.

Global Certifications

UL, CSA, CE, and IEC approvals plus optional marine certifications simplify export projects.

Serviceability

Wide terminal spacing, coil access ports, and mechanical status indicators reduce downtime during maintenance.
